Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Government of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, provided entertainment for its citizens by holding a Wayang Kulit Show on the courtyard of the Pertasi Kencana Stadium, Saturday (8/12) night.
"This shadow puppet (wayang) show is a medium of hospitality, wayang is also a spectacle that can be our guide," said Regent H Sukamta.
According to him, watching shadow puppets has meaning, besides as a gathering event, it also provides entertainment for the community.
"I hope the viewers who watch the Wayang Kulit Show can be entertained," he said.
The Wayang Kulit show presented Ki Dalang (puppet master) Bagong Dharmano. This performance was also watched by the Tanah Laut DPRD speaker Hariyanto and head of a regional government bank.
In addition, there was the Chairwoman of the Tanah Laut PKK Hj Nurul Hikmah Sukamta, government agencies heads, the 1009 Pelaihari Military Commander Lt. Col. Inf Bagus Budi Adrianto and the Tanah Laut community.
On the sidelines of the opening of the performance, some assistance from a government bank was handed over for the Kampung Baru's mosque worth Rp10 million, two mosques in Pemalongan Village and one mushalla in Damit Village, each receiving Rp5 million and a mushalla in Telaga received Rp15 million.
