Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Kalimantan branch of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) will hold three sports tournaments at the end of 2018.
Chairman of the PWI Sports Section (Siwo) Unan at a press conference at the PWI South Kalimantan building on Friday revealed three tournaments held were futsal, billiards, and field tennis.
The three tournaments, he said, are used as a test for the preparation of the South Kalimantan PWI athletes in the face of the 2020 National Journalists' Sports Week (Porwanas) in Papua.
According to the RRI reporter, these three sports branches are the mainstay sport of the South Kalimantan PWI in each porwanas.
"Futsal, billiards and field tennis always get achievements in every Porwanas," he explained.
The futsal tournament, he said, is held between journalists on December 22-23 at Surya Futsal Banjarmasin, a billiard tournament on December 15-16 in Geme Boll Banjarmasin. Whereas a tennis tournament is held at the Kebun Serai Martapura tennis court on 28-30 December 2018.
"It's an open tournament, but the participants are limited," said field tennis coordinator of Siwo PWI South Kalimantan Adi Permana.
