Barabai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Director of Health Care Guarantee (JPK) of  Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) Maya Amiarny Rusady said that as of January 1, 2019, South Hulu Sungai will register 89,446 its residents to become JKN-KIS participants as contribution assistance recipients (PBI).


With these additions, the number of JKN-KIS (the National Health Insurance-Healthy Indonesia Card) participants achievements in HSS reached 229,349 people or 96.32 percent of the total population.

"By achieving 95 percent or more of the population guaranteed by BPJS Kesehatan, HSS will become one of the districts and cities to receive the Universal Health Coverage title," she said.

The UHC cooperation agreement was signed on the sidelines of the HSS anniversary commemoration at the Lambung Mangkurat Square Kandangan on Sunday (02/12).

HSS Regent Achmad Fikry and Barabai Branch Head of BPJS Kesehatan Sugiyanto signed an agreement witnessed by Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan Rudy Resnawan, Director of JPK BPJS Health Maya Amiarny Rusady and Deputy Director of the East, Central, South and North Kalimantan Regional BPJS Health Benjamin Saut PS.

Sugiyanto said HSS was the second district to get the UHC title in the South Kalimantan. Previously, Balangan won UHC.

Fikry hopes that with the assurance of the entire HSS district community to the JKN-KIS program, the level of productivity of the community will increase.

In the Banua Anam region, the Health BPJS Barabai Branch collaborates with 192 First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) and 10 Advanced Level Health Facilities (FKRTL) to serve JKN-KIS participants.
