Balangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Although relatively new, PT Balangan Coal, a company incorporated in PT Adaro Energy Tbk, continues to strive to align its business with the welfare of the communities surrounding its operations. Among them are house renovation and healthy sanitation through Corporate Social Responsibility.
According to Balangan Coal External Relations Superintendent Bahariwan Siagian, this house rehab targets disadvantaged groups of people who are no longer productive.
“In 2018, one house has been rehabilitated in Tawahan Village. One other will be in Sungai Batung in December. We disburse funds of Rp. 40 million for those in Tawahan," explained Bahar.
While healthy sanitation was built as a public facility based on village proposals. From the proposal, the Balangan Coal team and the village party verified it.
He explained in broad outline, the Balangan Coal CSR program relies on the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1824 which emphasizes 8 aspects of community development, including in the fields of education, and health, increasing community income, economic independence, socio-culture, community management, community economic and infrastructure development.
