Magelang, (Antaranews Kalsel) - PT Pertamina Region Kalimantan introduced the Wringin Putih Village Economic Hall (Balai Ekonomi Desa or balkondes), Magelang, as one of the destination choices for tourists who want a vacation in the countryside.
Pertamina Kalimantan Communication and CSR Manager Yudi Nugroho introduced it in Pertamina Borneo 2018 Media Gathering in Magelang, Central Java, on Saturday.
"Complete facilities are available starting from lodging, meeting rooms, to local specialties and becoming the location of choice for gathering for organizations and companies and individual visitors," he said.
The balkondes area was built in mid-2016 as part of a development program belonging to the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry and 20 villages surrounding it are the development sites.
"Since the initial launching of the program, Pertamina has fully supported the physical funding of the balkondes, including 10 homestays with a total of 20 rooms in it," he said.
Wringin Putih Balkondes activist Cahyo Seno Aji said balkondes is developed to create a tourist area with the Community Based Tourism (CBT) approach.
While Pertamina not only develops the surrounding area but also contributes to building village potential which is used as a support system from the existence of balkondes.
