Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - This year seven schools from elementary to high school in Tabalong won the provincial level of adiwiyata school in South Kalimantan.


Head of Environmental Management Division of Tabalong Environment Agency Muchtar said that seven schools passed the provincial adiwiyata assessment included three elementary schools, two junior high schools, and two high schools.
   
"For high school, we won first place in the assessment of adiwiyata at the province level of South Kalimantan," explained Muchtar.
     
With a score of 76.5, state high school SMAN 3 Tanjung occupies the first position. SMAN 1 Haruai also entered the provincial level adiwiyata.
   
Meanwhile, two elementary schools that passed the Adiwiyata selection are state elementary school SDN 3 Belimbing Raya, SD Hasbunallah, and SDN Maburai.
   
Furthermore, for the junior high school are state junior high school SMPN 1 Tanta and state Islamic junior school Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 9 Tabalong also designated as provincial level adiwiyata schools in South Kalimantan.
     
Previously, four schools in Tabalong received the 2017 national adiwiyata award, namely Cakung Permata Nusa Elementary School, Murung Pudak 2 Public Middle School, Murung Pudak 1 State High School, and SMAN 1 Muara Uya.
   
Muchtar added that this year there were 15 district-level adiwiyata candidates who took part in the assessment. Adiwiyata is environmentally cultured school.
