Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor targets 2020 all the boundary issues in this province to be completed.
According to the Governor, complicated issues related to the boundaries of inter-districts and cities are now beginning to unravel. "After going through a coordinated approach with various related parties, currently 80 percent of the boundary issues can be resolved. It is expected that by 2020 all problems related to this matter can be resolved," he said in Banjarmasin on Sunday.
The governor revealed, the success of resolving the boundaries thanks to the cooperation and mutual synergy of all relevant parties, to complete regional boundaries.
"I convey the high appreciation to the Ministry of Home Affairs, which has an active role in helping to facilitate the solution to the problem of boundaries between regencies and cities in South Kalimantan so that the problem of boundaries is almost all complete," he said.
Previously in a coordination meeting with the regional heads across South Kalimantan in Banjarbaru, the Governor conveyed that to date the provincial government together with the local government which are the object of boundary issues had completed 21 boundary segments from a total of 26 border segments between districts and cities.
This means that the problem of boundaries has been successfully completed 80 percent. The Governor is optimistic that the remaining segments of the boundary can be completed immediately.
"It is targeted that all will be completed by 2020," he said.
At the event which was attended by Forkopimda, regents and Mayors, the secretary of province Abdul Haris Makkie, and officials in South Kalimantan were handed over five ministerial regulation documents on regional boundaries between districts and cities and provinces.
The five documents, namely the boundary of Banjar with Tapin, Banjar with Kotabaru, Kotabaru with Tanah Bumbu, North Hulu Sungai with South Hulu Sungai and Tabalong area boundary with East Barito, Central Kalimantan.
