Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The "Trauma Healing" team of South Kalimantan Regional Police began to act by entertaining children and women victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi.


"The presence of South Kalimantan policewomen and Bhayangkari (police wives) are welcomed enthusiastically by residents of Palu, Donggala, and Sigi who occupy many refugee camps," Head of South Kalimantan Regional Police Public Relations AKBP Mochamad Rifai said on Sunday.

Various activities were held which aim to make children happy. The women and the elderly were also served specifically through the Psychology Service Post established by the South Kalimantan Trauma Healing team.

Especially with children, there is a tenda ceria (cheerful tent) that becomes an educational center and plays for the children in the evacuation.

In this place, the South Kalimantan Policewomen and Bhayangkari invite children to play as they please.

The cheerfulness of children who are on average of elementary school and junior high school (SMP) age even then seen when the game took place.

Even the Head of the Bureau of Psychology of the South Kalimantan Regional Police AKBP Novian Susilo as the team leader of "Trauma Healing" was directly involved in the game until smiles and laughter full of innocence emanated from the children.

Restoration of trauma is indeed a solution to help citizens to get up and be strong and the spirit of living in the future.

Realizing this, the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Insp.Gen. Yazid Fanani assigned a team of 21 members with the composition of psychologists, Bhayangkari, and policewomen to go to Palu.

Yazid hopes that policewomen and Bhayangkari who get the trust can carry out their duties optimally, as well as health teams who went before them to carry out humanitarian tasks in Central Sulawesi.
