Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police sent a special team of "trauma healing" to Palu, Central Sulawesi, for the task of restoring residents' psychic after the earthquake and tsunami disaster.


"This team consists of 21 members with the composition of psychologists, Bhayangkari (police wives), and policewoman," said Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani here on Tuesday.

Symbolically he saw off the team departure at his official residence on Jalan MT Haryono, Central Banjarmasin. Deputy Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Nasri and a number of South Kalimantan Regional Police officers were present, including the 101 Antasari Military Commander Colonel Arm Syaiful Rahman and his wife.

Yazid hoped Bhayangkari's personnel and those who got the trust could carry out their duties optimally, as well as the health team from the Medical and Health Division (Bid Dokkes) who have been assigned in Palu.

"This is a humanitarian operation, of course handling it differently. So it must be more patient, sincere in every task carried out," said the two-star general.

While the South Kalimantan Bhayangkari Chairwoman Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Rinny Wowor explained, natural disaster events are indeed vulnerable to making victims affected by stress or trauma. Then trauma healing can be a solution to help citizens to get up and be strong and spirit of living in the future.
