Amuntai, (Antaranews) - The government-owned tap water company PDAM Amuntai in North Hulu Sungai (HSU) is ready to dredge land to get raw water for drinking water if the Tabalong River and Balangan River water are dry due to a long drought.
Head of Technical Section of the PDAM Fikri Anshari in Amuntai said on Thursday one land dredger truck is enough to get the source of raw materials to meet the drinking water needs for the community if indeed the raw for river water is no longer possible to be a source of PDAM water.
"Since the 80s there has never been water from the Balangan River and Tabalong River dried up, but in anticipation, the PDAM Amuntai is ready to dredge the soil to get new sources of drinking water," said Fikri.
