Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Karateka Fauzan, the champion at the 2017 Traditional Karate World Championship in Prague, Czech Republic, received a college scholarship.


The 21-year-old Karateka from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, officially obtained a scholarship to study at Hasnur Polytechnic College.
     
He even got a work agreement at the Hasnur Group company which houses the Hasnur Center Foundation, Hasnur Polytechnic management.
  
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), I can continue my studies and continue to strive for achievement in the sport," said Fauzan in Banjarmasin on Monday.

He said his decision to join Hasnur Group as well as studying at a college owned by this large mining company in South Kalimantan was blessed by his parents and also received support from his coach, Mustafa.

Meanwhile, Hasnur Group Commissioner H Hasnuryadi Sulaiman HB said the company was very concerned about sports.
      
"Not only football but also other sports. Because through sports, we can also embody our homeland's pride," said the manager of the Barito Putera football club.
     
Therefore, said this member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, when he heard the success of Fauzan raising the Red and White flag in the world karate championship in Prague in July, he invited Fauzan to Jakarta to have an audience at the Hasnur Group headquarters.
     
"Alhamdulillah, little brother Fauzan accepted the offer we submitted," he said.
        
According to him, starting September 1, 2018, Fauzan officially joined PT Hasnur Media Citra, one of the companies in the Hasnur Group. At the same time, Fauzan was listed as a Hasnur Polytechnic student. He chooses plant cultivation as his study program.
      
"Fauzan received a full scholarship from Hasnur Group until he graduated from college," said Hasnur.
