Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjarmasin now has new rules on telecommunication towers after revision of Bylaw No.23/2011 authorized by legislatf and executive.


DPRD Banjarmasin members Elly Rahmah, after the council meeting on Wednesday, said towers in the city are considered crowded, and need to be re-arranged, so that the comfort, safety and aesthetics of the environment can be maintained.

"This rule becomes the Regulation No. 7/2018. Surely this is made to protect and help people not to be harmed," she said.

With regard to control and supervision in line with the LCS of ministries, the key point contained in this regulation is revocation sanction.

"Previously, there was no sanction if the provider does not have the standard of tower construction and does not possess a valid license, now for those who violate the sanction is revocation," she explained.

In addition, continued Elly, control of the camouflage tower, micro cell and fiber optic tower are already contained in this law. It is expected that every organizer can follow the rule well.

"For example, the altitude, there must be approval from local residents, and the construction must be in accordance with the standards," she said.

Meanwhile, Head of Information, Communication, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) Hermansyah stated, the agency has conducted data collection of telecommunication towers. It is known that approximately 30 towers allegedly do not yet have valid licenses.

"With this regulation, tower owners or providers can immediately make permits and obey the rules properly. If there is a violation, the sanction is to be revoked and the cost will be borne by the owner of the tower," he explained.
