Paringin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Sahabat Balangan Center (SBC) continues to implement various social programs to help others in Bumi Sanggam region, the nickname of Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan.


SBC is a combination of various organizations and communities, including Tagana (disaster response team), several FB groups, rescue teams, village heads, officials, BPJS, DPRD members, contractors and young entrepreneurs, gymnastic groups, members of Nanang Galuh Balangan, Balangan Police Public Relation, and individuals or groups.

SBC Chairwoman Dewy revealed, sBC is a very positive thing for those who need, as well as to care about people around.

"SBC is not present to compete with groups or individuals who have social activities, but to unite the steps to get in touch, while helping others," she said.

Some programs that have been implemented included helping the needy to get BPJS (Health Care and Social Security), helping people with mental disorder to be treated at Sambang Lihum Mental Hospital, assisting in home repairment, sharing basic needs, helping drop out children to continue education, blood donation, etc.

During Ramadan and Idul Fitri, SBC having iftar with dhuafa (the needy), shares with orphans, collects zakat fitrah, and distributes zakat fitrah to the rightful, share parcel of Eid.

"Some of the needy are eligible to be given business capital, and some others have skills in creative business of home industry that are feasible to develop," she told.

Until now, Dewy continued, there are a hundred more dhuafa and people who need care from the community around have been recorded.

"We are very grateful to the donors who have joined, even helped a lot, both individuals and groups, including PT Adaro Indonesia and partners, Bina Marga of PUPR Agency, Public Relations and Protocol of Balangan Administration, BPJS, PR of Police, Tagana, and Rescue 304 , journalists, village heads, members of DPRD, and those who can not be mentioned one by one, "she remarked.

"We continue to invite all elements of society to continue to join SBC, both groups and individuals, without political interests and personal interests as well as groups, because to care about each other, no need to wait a lot of wealth or become officials," she concluded.
