Marabahan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Chairman of South Kalimantan branch of National Sports Committee (KONI) H Bambang Heri Purnama expects Barito Kuala District as a treasure of rowing athletes in the province, so it is necessary to optimize the guidance, means of infrastructure and techniques to practice properly.
"Rowing here is great, it's just a practice that needs to be improved. The exercise used to be in deep water, while it should be in shallow water," H Bambang Heri Purnama said in Marabahan on Monday.
According to him, if in other areas the exercises at a depth of 3 meters, in Batola it should be at a depth of 2 or 2.5 meters.
In addition to the problems of rowing infrastructure, Bambang also reveled readiness to advance martial arts in Batola.
He explained that kempo has developed good enough in Batola, including silat martial arts because the list of registered followers of approximately 3,000 people.
Separately, Chairman of KONI Batola Saleh viewed that Batola has to have a rowing sports facilities, considering the sport is the flagship of the district.
The Batola legislator is expecting, synergy of local government in the availability of multipurpose building that can be used for training facilities for various sports martial arts.
