Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mayor of Banjarmasin H Ibnu Sina signed the MoU of the Movement to 100 Smart City witnessed by Minister
of Communication and Informatics Rudiantara at Red Top Hotel Jakarta, Tuesday (8/5).


This movement was initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in cooperation with seven related ministries, namely Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of PAN & RB (Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform), Ministry of PPN/Bappenas (National Development Planning Board), Ministry of PUPR (Public Works and Housing), Presidential Office and media.

H Ibn Sina present with Kadiskominfikomtik Hermansyah, Head of Government Affairs (Tapem) Iwan Ristianto, Secretary of Bappeda A Sauqi, and Head of Complaint Management Novri Giyayanti. He expressed great appreciation and hope smart city movement in the city of thousand rivers continue to be done on an ongoing basis.

To note, the Movement Towards 100 Smart City has been done by the central government since 2017. In that year MoU signings have been implemented at least with 25 cities in Indonesia.

In 2018 this MoU re-implement for fifty cities that have passed in the assessment of the central team for the smart cities category.

Besides Banjarmasin, in South Kalimantan province, Banjarbaru also signed the MoU conducted by Mayor Najmi Adani.

According to Rudiantoro, smart city development is not only oriented towards strengthening information technology systems. The simplification of local government services to the community is also included in the aspect.

"Smart city is not just buying applications and buying computers, but how to serve the community for the better," he said.

The goal is to simplify the licensing process, he explained, so that permits can be done in a short time. "If the application is submitted before 12 noon, permit must be issued the same day. If after 12 noon, the permit must be out tomorrow," he said.
