Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan April 11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - President Director of PT Pelindo III I Gusti Ngurah Askara Danadiputra promised to develop Banjarmasin port in Mantuil, South Banjarmasin, as Trisakti Baru Port.
He confirmed the seriousness of realizing the development of the port by signing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the City Government at City Hall on Wednesday.
According to I Gusti Askara, the port development target in Mantuil area can be realized in the second half of 2018.
"Hopefully it can be realized in the initial development stage after June or after Idul Fitri," he said.
However, he said, this must be supported also with good road infrastructure to the area of ??the port development plan.
"So we have coordinated with the Public Works Office of this area to immediately improve the access road to the port development plan area," he explained.
Related to the value of the investment that Pelindo III will disburse to build Trisakti Baru, I Gusti Askara mentioned the first phase of about Rp200 billion.
Meanwhile, Mayor H Ibnu Sina expressed his appreciation for Pelindo III's seriousness which strengthens its commitment to realize the development of the port.
"The MoU signing should be the at the beginning of the year but delayed because we want to have an evaluation first. The MoU has been twice with PT Pelindo," he explained.
He said the municipal government should get a clear guarantee about the contribution of local revenue with the existence of this port.
In addition, Ibnu Sina mentioned some Pelindo's promises to the previous MoU, one of which will build a hospital in the former port of Banjarmasin Lama Port.
