Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor has asked the public to be more vigilant about the existence of "bodong" (fake) investments that are detrimental to society. 
According to the Governor in Banjarmasin on Thursday, one of the efforts to avoid fake investment, among others, by getting knowledge about investment.
"The weakness of the financial literacy, especially in the field of investment, has been much harm to society," he said.
General Administration Assistant Syamsir Rahman, in the Coordination Meeting of Commodity Futures Trading in Banjarmasin, said that the community is very vulnerable to be the victim of fake investment and illegal brokers.
Looking at the phenomenon, Syamsir views the importance of financial literacy and investment information.
Currently, in South Kalimantan, there are five licensed investment companies, namely PT Best Profit Futures, PT Cebtral Capital Futures, PT Inter Pan Pacific Futures, PT Millennium Penata Futures, and PT Topgrowth Futures.
Meanwhile, the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) suggested to prescribe seven conditions before investing in futures trading.
Seven of those things, namely learn the background of companies that offer transactions, learn the procedures for transactions and dispute settlement, learn the futures contracts traded.
In addition, learn which brokerage representatives has Bappebti's license, study the agreement documents, study the risks at hand, and never believe in the promises of high profits.
