Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - Tornado disaster on Thursday afternoon at around 18:00 pm in the North Hulu Sunga, South Kalimantan, resulted in 10 houses and one ulin footbridge damaged. 
Acting Head of the HSU Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Hasmi Rivai in Amuntai on Friday said, eight houses were severely and lightly damaged in Kalumpang Village RT 3, Babirik Subdistrict, and an ulin footbridge cutoff. While two houses were reported damaged by fallen trees in Ujung Murung Village RT 4 and 5, Central Amuntai.
"Until now the reports we received that 10 houses and one footbridge damaged by the tornado that occurred Thursday afternoon," he said.
Hasmi said, the BPBD has not received reports from other sub-districts whether the damage also occurred due to this disaster, but it immediately recorded the amount of damage and losses.
Meanwhile, the loss is estimated to reach Rp400 million, the bridge is broken along the 200 meters worth Rp300 million and damage of the house Rp100 million, as many as two homes were severely damaged and 6 houses slightly damaged.
"The number of losses suffered by Ujung Murung Village residents has not been reported," said Hasmi.
In the tornado was not found casualties. Residents whose homes were severely damaged were evacuating to nearby relatives' homes.
While houses with moderate damage are assisted by residents who work together to make improvements. While the isolated village area must be using a boat.
