Tanjung, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Three houses in Barimbun village, Tanta sub-district, Tabalong, South Kalimantan, were burned allegedly due to an electric short circuit on Thursday. 

An eyewitness, Mardhi Yanshuri, in Tanjung said the fire came from one of the victims' houses. "The fire occurred at about 8:30 am allegedly due to an electric short circuit,"  he told. 

Data at the Tanta Police Station, the burnt-out resident's house belonged to Juminto (55) and Abdul Gafur (33), while Rahmadi's house (33) was only part of the kitchen that was burned by fire. 

The burning house was made of wood and a tin roof. The loss is estimated at around Rp200 million. 

Tabalong Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Hardiono said there were no casualties in the fire accident. 

"Tanta Police officers have conducted data collection on fire victims and there were no casualties," explained Hardiono. 

A number of fire brigades together extinguished the fire, among them BPK Tanta, Kremsakt, BPBD Tabalong, Mura Ujung Murung, the district government fire brigade, and BPK Belimbing Raya.
