Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 4/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Transportation Agency has threatened to evict illegal buildings located in the fish port area in Banjar Raya, West Banjarmasin.

"We have counted there are 22 buildings are illegal, because they are standing on the land belonging to the Transportation Agency and we will do eviction immediately," said Head of Safety of the agency Naf`an in Banjarmasin on Monday.

Previously, the agency had sent a demolition warning letter to the building owner standing on a one-hectare land it owned.

"We have sent the first warning letter, and if they do not pay attention in three times, we will do the forced demolition," he said.

He explained that in fact the land was originally designated as a port, but over time the land turned into a residential community.

"Since 2001 the market was established in this port adjacent to Transportation Agency's land, then some people built the buildings, thus disrupting the loading and unloading activities," he said.

In addition to 22 buildings, said Naf`an, the agency also has done the demolition of two bathrooms owned by residents as a real action warning.

"We are dismantling these toilets because we want to restore the agency's assets," he explained.

Asked why the agency did their own demolition, even though there is Satpol PP. Naf'an reasoned it does not want to add work to Satpol PP, other than that the land belongs to it.
