Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tabalong District Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the airline company PT Pelita Air Service (PAS) in connection with the operation of Warukin Airport.
The MoU signed by Tabalong Regent Anang Syakfiani in Jakarta on Thursday contained the termination of cooperation from PT Pertamina and MoU on Joint Operation with PT Pelita Air Service.
PAS is an airline based in Jakarta. It operates on behalf of the state oil company Pertamina. It has gained international recognition with participation in a variety of international activities.
"Warukin Airport is scheduled to serve Tanjung - Jakarta, Tanjung - Surabaya flights and the soft opening will be on Tabalong 's anniversary in December 2017," said Anang.
MoU signing is done by Pertamina's Asset Operations Hermawan and President Director of PT Pelita Air Service (PAS) Andjar Wibawanun.
Head of Tabalong Transportation Agency Imam Fahrullazi said the operation of Warukin airport would be the benefit for the local people.
Imam hopes that airport operation can improve the economy of the local community of Tabalong.
