Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 21/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - An officer of Amuntai Class IIB Correctional Facility, North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District, South Kalimantan, thwarted a visitor trying to smuggle sabu-sabu to an inmate.


"Officer Rahmat M has foiled the entry of sabu-sabu weighing about 3 grams," said Head of Class IIB Amuntai Prison HM Arsyad in Amuntai on Tuesday.

Upon the incident, the head of the prison immediately ordered his staffs to immediately coordinate with the Police, so that the perpetrator is further processed.

As for the mode was by sending sugar to an inmate named RK. But thanks to the vigilance and thoroughness of the Main Door Security officer (P2U), after examining the contents there he found sabu-sabu.

"The inmate to received the goods was also submitted to the Amuntai Police to be developed and processed because the identity and characteristics of the goods sender is known," said Arsyad.

While Head of South Kalimantan Office of Justice and Human Rights Ministry Imam Suyudi who received the report gave appreciation.

"Continue to improve this good performance until the prisons are completely clean of the entry of illicit goods such as drugs," he said.
