Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin has received 6,000 additional blanks for the manufacture of Electronic Identity Card (KTP-E), said Head of the Civil Registry and Demography Agency (Disdukcapil), Khairul Saleh.

"We have just received 6,000 additional e-ID blanks from the central government or the Ministry of Home Affairs," he said while in the city council building on Friday.

According to him, the number of 6,000 blanks is appropriate to be printed in the city of Banjarmasin as recorded in the center.

"Actually about 16 thousands of ID cards that have not been printed in our city, but the central government calculation is only 6,000. No problem, later we could ask again," he explained.

According to Khairul, the printing of e-ID with additional blanks can be made for citizens who want to revise their cards, for example, because they have changed address or there are other errors.

"So for the repair of e-ID, we can serve. The point is for those who want to make e-ID or repair can be done directly," he said.

Previously, said Khairul, Disdukcapil Banjarmasin in May also received 10 thousand blanks.

But at that time, he said, the printing of e-ID card was only for residents who have recorded their identity from 2011 to July 2016. Othe than that can not be done, due to limitations of the blank.

He said the total e-ID printed since 2011 has reached 430,893. That number was already above the ministerial provisions targeting Banjarmasin must print 426 thousand e-ID. While the number of people who have recorded as many as 454,319.
