The Kotabaru District Government in South Kalimantan has again succeeded in managing central government's budget as it winning an award in the physical DAK (special allocation funds) category for the 2025 fiscal year.
Kotabaru Regent H Muhammad Rusli said this achievement show the financial realization performance, especially the funds allocated by the central government for physical development in the district could be carried out well and on time by the local government work units (SKPD).
The Kotabaru Regional Secretary H Eka Saprudin believes this performance award can serve as point of reference for central government allowing to increase transfer fund from the state budget, particularly amid efficiency in fiscal transfers (TKD) in 2026.

Data from the Kotabaru Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) shows the realization of Kotabaru's 2025 physical DAK reached 99% in health and education.
Governor of South Kalimantan H Muhidin stated that in the 2026 fiscal year all regional government must show high performance, and accelerate the realization of activities and spending, especially those funded by the state budget (APBN).
"Let's continue to collaborate between districts and province in increasing budget in the coming year, as we know that both the provinces and districts are currently experiencing financial cuts and efficiencies," he said.
