The district government of Kotabaru through The Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DPPPAPPKB) and Family Empowerment and Welfare driving team (TP-PKK) held a pilgrimage ceremony at the Heroes' Cemetery to mark 97th Mother's Day in 2025. 

Deputy Chair of Kotabaru TP-PKK Ny Siti Hadijah Syairi Mukhlis thanked participants for attending the ceremony.

Through Mother's Day commemoration, the district government hopes to foster a spirit of nationalm, strengthening the values of struggling, and encouraging women to play active role empowering and contributing to the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045.

The commemoration carried the theme “Empowered Women and Women Working Toward Golden Indonesia 2045” as a tribute to the service of heroes and a reflection of women strategic role in building the nation.

The ceremony which started at 08.00 Wita was officiated by Head of OR Jalasenastri Branch 5 Wanty Vira Efendy as inspector of ceremony. 

The event began with a tribute to the heroes souls, followed by a moment of silence, the laying of wreath by the pilgrimage leader, and prayer.

Deputy Chair of TP-PKK Siti Hadijah along with other participants laid flowers at the heroes grave. After th pilgrimage, the entourage continued the agenda to visit a waste bank and orphanage.

The ceremony was attended by various women's organizations and agencies, including TP-PKK, GOW, Jalasenastri, Bhayangkari, the local office of Kemenag, Al Hidayah, the Religious Court, Wanita Islam, Perwira, WKRI, District Court, DWP, Muslimat, HARPI, Gatriwara, KPPI, Fatayat NU, GKN, KICI, IBI, and BKMT.
