The district government of Kotabaru is using the National Children's Day (HAN) commemoration as a platform to build the nation's next generation of character, health, and achievement.
Deputy Regent Syairi Mukhlis stated that the quality of children will determine the nation's progress. Every child deserves the widest possible opportuny to grow and develop optimally, physically, mentally, and socially.
“The National Children's Day is a moment not to be missed, as it is a reminder to us all of the importance of children's participation and fulfilling their rights and protection, so they can grow and develop optimally,” he said at the commemoration in Kotabaru, Wednesday.

He underlined that the children's intelligence must be balanced with development of good character, such as integrity, responsibility, emphaty, and perseverance.
Acting Head of Kotabaru Education and Culture Office Taufikurrahman said that HAN commemoration was attended by children from various levels of education, from PAUD (early childhood education), SD (elementary school), to SMP (junior high school).
He hopes this momentum will serve as a reminder that children are the nation's valuable asset that must be fully protected and supported.
“Today's children are the nation's future generation. Let us work together to create a health, moral, high-achieving and love for the homeland (patriotic) generation towards the Golden Indonesia 2045,” he pointed out.
With the spirit of HAN, the government of Kotabaru is committed to continue providing a healthy space for children to grow and develop, so they become key pillars of regional and nation's development.
