Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) arrested a courier carrying 500-gram sabu-sabu at Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarmasin.


"A woman suspect was arrested shortly after getting off the plane at Syamsudin Noor Airport at about 10 o'clock on Sunday (23/7)," said Head of BNNP Brigadier General Marsauli Siregar here, Tuesday.

He said officers found three large packages of sabu-sabu behind the clothing used by the suspect, Ardiani aka Ani (46).

"This female courier is a resident of Batam carrying sabu-sabu from Batam to Banjarmasin and escaped from three airports at once, Hang Nadim International Airport, Soekarno-Hatta and Syamsudin Noor Airport by her cunning modus operandi in hiding narcotics," said Marsauli accompanied by Head of Eradication Edy Saprianadi.

He said BNNP also succeeded to nab AH alias Pak Raden (62) who served as a sabu-sabu recipient in Banjarmasin.

The resident of Jalan Kelayan B, Gang Gembira, South Banjarmasin, was hired by someone named Djamhari, Alabio resident, and Zakat who are in prison.

For the disclosure, BNNP South Kalimantan cooperated with BNNP Central Kalimantan. So there was another courier, also a woman, arrested with initials D.

"The two female couriers together carried narcotics from Batam, but one for delivering to Banjarmasin and another to Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, but both landed at Syamsudin Noor Airport," said Marsauli.

"The other courier who was arrested by BNNP Central Kalimantan also brought 500 grams of sabu-sabu, so the total they brought from Batam was one kilogram and BNNP Central Kalimantan had already caught five people as recipients of the goods," he said.

Meanwhile, suspect Ardiani revealed she was promised to receive Rp21 million commission if successful delivering the sabu-sabu to Banjarmasin.

As for Abdul Hamid will receive a wage of Rp4 million from the person who told him to receive sabu-sabu.
