Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan) has granted Rp1 billion for the development of Islamic University of Kalimantan (Uniska) Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari.


Governor Sahbirin Noor while attending the Uniska 36th Graduation ceremony in Banjarmasin on Wednesday said the provincial government is currently concentrating on supporting human resources development by improving the quality and facilities of the education.

Some efforts are made to improve human resources, in addition to supporting the development of state and private universities, it provides scholarships to achieving students.

Several programs from various related agencies are also directed to the improvement of human resources, including the improvement of nutrition and health by the Health Agency, free education conducted by districts and cities and various other programs.

In addition to delivering grant aid amounting to Rp 1 billion, the governor also gave personal appreciation money from his own pockets to several graduates.

Even a graduate of a perfect score named Padlah Riyadi reward by the governor with Umrah to the Holy Land of Mecca.

Rector Uniska Abdul Malik said the graduation is a result of hard work of the academic community and is the work of human resources ready to plunge into the community.

Beside establishing more than 900 graduates, Uniska awarded Isma Jauhariati A Haris SSos as honorary alumni. She is the wife of Provincial Secretary and is an alumni of Uniska Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari.

Also present in this graduation, the wife of Governor Hj Raudlatul Jannah Sahbirin SKM, Forkopimda, South Kalimantan Secretary and a number of head agencies of Provincial Government.

The Kalimantan Islamic University (Uniska) Sheikh Arsyad Al Banjari is one of the top universities in South Kalimantan. It has given birth to many important regional figures, one of which is South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor.
