Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is ready to continue the 2016 economic census that has brought together businesses or companies, whether small, medium, or large.


Head of South Kalimantan BPS Diah Utama in Banjarbaru on Saturday said that the next economic census is scheduled for July to August 2017 by recording all listed businesses.

"Advanced data collection will be done in more detail on micro and small enterprises as well as medium and large enterprises, and the implementation of the census is scheduled for 2 months, from July to August," she said.

Diah Utama said that the activity will mobilize officers who will enumerate businesses and companies in accordance with the results of economic census data collection in May 2016.

She mentioned the number of businesses or companies recorded 472,125 consisted of 466,222 micro and small enterprises (UMK) or 98.75 percent and 5.903 or 1.25 percent of medium and large enterprises (UMB).

Further enumeration, she said, to obtain more detailed information about the structure of labor, capital structure, cost and production, business prospects and others.

"Detailed data collection is intended to be used by the government and stakeholders as a reference that can be harmonized with various programs," she said.
