Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - H-1 Ramadhan 1438 Hijri the price of beef in the traditional market in Banjarmasin fell to Rp120 per kilogram, a local official said.


"The price of beef from our monitoring today (Friday, 26/5) in Antasari's central market has decreased, some (merchants) sell it at Rp120 thousand per kilogram. This is the lowest price," said Head of Strengthening and Trade of the Banjarmasin Industry and Trade Agency Gatot Harianto Here, Friday.

The price of beef monitored by the agency (Disperindag) in traditional markets ranges from Rp120 thousand to Rp 125 per kilogram.

According to him, the stock of beef in Banjarmasin is safe until Ramadan, because the need can be supplied from Tanah Laut District.

"From the information of traders, the cows for the needs of this Ramadan from Pelaihari or Tanah Laut," said Gatot.

He said, there has been no complaints from traders as well as buyers in the traditional markets that go into the Industry and Trade Agency about the scarcity of beef.

"We hope there will be no spike in the price of meat in the future, and we will monitor the rising prices of basic commodities in the market, even to modern stores," he said.

Gatot said, today agency doing sudden inspection to traditional markets and modern stores accompanying the mayor and deputy mayor.

"From the observation of the price of basic commodity today there is no significant increase, including for garlic, chilli, chicken meat, although there is still a low hike range between Rp1000 to Rp2000," he said.
