Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) and customs have succeeded in thwarting the circulation of millions of G-class drug, Carnophen production of Zenith.


"A total of four million or about 200 boxes of Carnophen were transported using a green Nissan fuso truck with a plat number L 832 LR from Surabaya by sea," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana in Banjarmasin on Monday.

He said the disclosure of millions of drugs, that now a rampant abused, after officers suspect the load in the truck brought by driver.

When KM Niki Barokah ship docked at Trksakti Port on Sunday (21/5) at around 11:00 pm, a joint officers of BNNP and Customs unloaded the truck which contained 200 boxes of Carnophen.

"To trick the officers, the goods in a letter of delivery was written as toys. But the suspicion of officer was proven, because the truck was contained drugs," said police chief, who accompanied by Head of BNNP South Kalimantan Senior Commissioner (Kombes) Marsauli Siregar.

Furthermore, in the case development, BNNP members conducted a control delivery by catching a Luxio minibus DA 8931 AL driver Dedi Kurniawan carrying 80,000 Carnophen pills on the edge of Jalan Kampung Melayu Darat, Central Banjarmasin. Officers also seized cash amounting to Rp39.400.000.

After being interrogated it was known who in charge of the delivery of goods, Raihan Noor alias Azis and Megi Sugianto. Both play a role in distributing Carnophen in South Kalimantan.

He said, for the handling of suspects and evidence has been delegated to the Directorate of Drug Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Police. Both Azis and Megi were charged under Article 106 paragraph 1 with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum fine of Rp1,500,000,000.

"I have ordered members to charge the maximum penalty for the perpetrators and now it is still being fought for so that the Zenith or Carnophen dealers may be subject to Narcotics Act," said police chief who was also accompanied by Section Head of Action and Operation Tools of Banjarmasin Customs Office Suganda.
