Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 6/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag) is tightening out coal shipments from the province to various importing countries to curb leakage of revenues from this sector.

Head of Foreign Trade Division Gusti Yasni Iqbal in Banjarmasin on Saturday said the tightening of permits to exit the coal production, among others, by verifying more details about the origin of coal, coal calories sent, the numbering system and the code of goods out.

"We have done supervision from the first, but since the last year supervision is much more stringent," he said.

In addition, the freight forwarder should be able to show evidence that they have paid the reclamation fee, as determined.

Such supervision, he added, was conducted by a surveyor appointed by the Ministry of Trade in coordination with the regional trade office.

According to Gusti, the effort was made, in addition to reducing the revenue leakage from the coal sector, as well as to prevent massive exploitation, regardless of the environment.

"Currently we have not yet limited the coal shipping quota, only at the tightening stage of coal shipments," he said.
