Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, March 25 (Antara) - Strong growth of the farm and food crop sector has sustained economic growth of South Kalimantan, Bank Indonesia representative office here has said.

The province chalked up a significant economic growth of 5.28 percent in the third quarter of 2016 from only 3.13 percent in the previous quarter.

Good harvest and expansion of food crop and horticulture plantations in a number of district areas in the province contributed to the farm sector.
