Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Water police unit (Satpolair) of Banjarmasin Resort Police gave away 1,500 catfish to the Barito River coastal residents for free.


"Yes we have dispensed 1,500 catfish for free for the river coastal communities," said water police chief Police Commissioner (Kompol) Untung Widodo Sst through the Chief Patrol Unit First Inspector (Iptu) I Wayan Regug here, Friday.

He said the give away was done by Satpolair on Thursday (23/3) afternoon at around 15:30 on floating post in South Kuin, North Banjarmasin.

Coastal residents, he said, were very enthusiastic coming to get the catfish for free given away by Satpolair.

"The 1,500 catfish was from cultivation done by Satpolair in collaboration with the Banjarmasin Fisheries Agency," said the man who once served as chief of patrol for Sabhara Banjarmasin.

The activity was a form of concern to coastal residents. The goal, said Wayan, is to bring police and community to be closer.
