Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 12/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Trans Kalimantan road at its central axis in South Kalimantan between Banjarmasin and Banua Anam is now under threat of damage.

An AntaranewsKalsel correspondent after traveling from Barabai, capital of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District, reported on Sunday the road conditions are now has a lot of holes.

Besides holes, some sections of the road between Banjarmasin and Banua Anam (upstream area which covers six districts) degradated or deteriorate. It feel bumpy if riding a car.

Potholes and bumpy feel are between Rantau and Martapura. Rantau (117 kilometers north of Banjarmasin) is the district capital of Tapin, while Martapura (40 kilometers north of Banjarmasin) is Banjar District capital.

"In these circumstances, if you are not cautious and drove at high speed, not only the car swerved, but could be reversed," said Ansari, a resident who drove from Barabai (165 kilometers north of Banjarmasin), told AntaranewsKalsel.

Secretary of Commission III for Development and Infrastructure of South Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD) H Riswandi expected the central government or the provincial government to immediately undertake handling.

"If not addressed immediately feared the Trans Kalimantan central axis increases damaged," said three periods of member of DPRD from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
