Mayor remind residents beware of food consumption

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mayor of Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina together with Head Central Banjarmasin Sub-district Drs H Diyanoor, MA and Sector Police Chief Commissioner H Uskiansyah, visiting victims of food poisoning in Suaka Insan Hospital, Wednesday (22/02).

It is one of the five hospitals that accommodated victims of food poisoning from haulan event at Jalan Sutoyo S. A total of 20 people were being treated in ER (IGD) and six people were hospitalized here.

One of the hospitalized victim, Isnawati, who was visited by Ibnu Sina, revealed after eating the foods she suddenly vomiting and feeling dizzy.

Ibnu Sina appealed the public to be careful to  consume food sold, and asked BPOM to immediately check and routinely monitor rice packets that are sold to the public. So is the whole other packaged processed snacks.

"Because food safety is a priority not only the nature of food poisoning, but also materials that are hazardous and unsafe for consumption, so it needs regular monitoring by BPOM, the Health office and other concerned parties," said Ibnu Sina

This incident also got the response by the Governor of South Kalimantan who visited victims in the Ulin General Hospital at 01.00 in the morning. (Humpro-Bjm)
