Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government through the Housing Settlement and Environment Agency will help repairment of 300 homes of underprivileged families in North Hulu Sungai (HSU).


Head of the agency Risnaidy in Amuntai on Thursday said each family will receive Rp15 million for home repairment. The grants sourced from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in 2017.

"This assistance needs the right control of the government in order the fund allotment is clear and focused to repair houses for poor families," he said.

Risnaidy said the amount of aid is limited only to house repairment, while worker wages and others are expected to come from public assistance or homeowners themselves.

The working of --some kind like bedah rumah (home renovation)-- will be made with self-management in fiscal year 2017.

He explained the society's proposal related to the number of families deserve for assistance will be determined in Regent HSU decree that the aid can be distributed.
