Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 14/2 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Syamsudin Noor Airport expansion project auction has no winner so far that construction can not be implemented.
Head of the project Taocid P Hadi in Banjarbaru on Tuesday said it's still waiting for a legal opinion from the Attorney General.
"We are still waiting for a legal opinion from the Attorney General related to the tender process and until now has not been decided who the winner of the auction," he said.
Previously, the auction of package II Syamsudin Noor Airport worth Rp900 billion was participated by six large contractors, but in the process only three were eligible. They were PT Nusa Konstruksi Engeenering, PT Adhi Karya and PT PP. All three are still being processed by PT Angkasa Pura center.
"We estimated auction winner is decided in the week, but it seems to retreat again, so we are still waiting to see who will be determined to be the winner," he said.
According to him, if the winner of the auction has been set, objection period is open and it is expected no other party denied, so the first phase of construction could begin.
The airport expansion project begins with package II which covers infrastructure work, support buildings, and apron or aircraft parking.
While package I worth Rp1 trillion includes the terminal building and the entire infrastructure supporting to be auctioned in March 2017 and is targeted to complete the next 18 months.
"The package I and II accounted for over 18 months and expected to be finished in late 2018, so that airport operations to begin in early 2019," he said.
