Banjarmasin to Promotes Leisure Bike Tourism

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 10/2 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Mayor Ibnu Sina said he wanted to promote cycling tour around the city as an alternative to revive tourism.

"Leisure biking around the city in the early morning is amazing. In and out alley, down the street in the area along the river. It can be tourism activities," he said here on Friday.

As cycling lover, Ibnu Sina deeply enjoying his hobby. Besides for physical health, he can control the development to the corner.

According to him, cycling is very much popular to the public, and people who come to the city need to feel how fun traveling around the city by bicycle.

"In fact we are very supportive if there are entrepreneurs who want to open a bicycle rental in this city," he said.

As is known, he said, the distance among attractions in this area is not too far apart to be reached by bicycle.

Head of Culture and Tourism Agency Ikhsan Alhaq added, there are 35 flagship attraction in Banjarmasin that need to be visited, even this can be laced in one day.

According to him, cycling become a trend in big cities, and Banjarmasin wants to adopt. Moreover, it has its own uniqueness that other areas do not have.
