Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A cattle farmer group Lembu Sejati in Jaro Village, Tabalong, South Kalimantan, successfully producing bio urine or liquid organic fertilizer independently.

According to one of the farmer from Jaro, Hariyono, bio urine production is since 2014 only limited to meet the needs of group members.

"Liquid organic fertilizer we produced from urine of cattle only for our own needs and has not been marketed to the public," said Hariyono in Tanjung, Friday.

With the higher content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, liquid organic fertilizer is very useful for cattle farmers who also owns plantations.

Lembu Sejati group got help from PT Adaro Indonesia through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the form of tank and water installation for processing bio urine.

The presence of liquid organic fertilizer, according to Hariyono, reduces their dependence on chemical fertilizers which price today is quite expensive.

Lembu Sejati has 40 members. In addition to producing liquid organic fertilizer, they also fattening cattle.

From fattening cattle, they also obtain benefit from selling cow manure up to the region of East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

"Thank God from cattle fattening business we also get additional income from the sale of cow dung of buyers from the region of East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan," said Hariyono again.
