Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 8/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Immigration Office is conducting an examination on four Chinese citizens, who some time ago secured by ranks of Banjarmasin City Police.
"They are currently being examined regarding work permission on board the Indonesian flag ship," said the South Kalimantan Head Office of Law and Human Rights Ministry Imam Suyudi in Banjarmasin, Sunday.
He said after examination on immigration documents and limited stay permit of each of Chinese citizens, the next is detection to be carried out further in-depth examination.
"I have ordered the surveillance and immigration action department through immigration division heads to process the case in accordance with with rules," he said.
Based on a report from the head of the Banjarmasin Immigration Office , two of the four Chinese citizens have a limited stay permit on waters, one is a 212 index visa holder, and one other is B211A visa holder still examined by officers.
Meanwhile, Immigration Division Head, YH Renung Widodo here said the foreigners working as a skipper, crew of ship or floating device, or become experts in the archipelago waters or exclusive economic zone. They may get a limited stay permit as stipulated in Government Regulation No. 32/1994 on Visas, Admission Permits, and Immigration Permits.
"They are allowed to work here as long as according to the rules and behave well," he told AntaranewsKalsel.
To note, four workers from China were secured in Trisakti Port Banjarmasin some time ago. They worked in the Indonesian-flagged vessel. They were Shi Shoujing, Liu Fei, Shi Xihu and Yu Quan.
