The District Government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS), South Kalimantan, has received a Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) award certificate from the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry (Kemenparekraf) of Indonesia.
The award was handed over by the Minister's Expert Staff for Bureaucratic and Regulatory Reform Raden Kurleni Ukar and recevied by HSS Regional Secretary Muhammad Noor on the closing of the 2024 HSS Bamboo Rafting Festival at the Lambung Mangkurat Field, Kandangan.
"We appreciate the South Kalimantan Provincial Government, through the HSS Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency, and all parties who have collaborated to make the Bambo Rafting Festival a success to boost the development of tourism and creative economy," said Raden Kurleni Ukar as quoted from the HSS Communication and Informatics Office's (Diskominfo's) press release, Monday.
She also congratulated HSS Regency that the festival is listed in the KEN 2024.

KEN is the Ministry's leading program which aims to improve the quality of regional events, promote the potential of tourist destinations and empower the local potential.
HSS Secretary Muhammad Noor expressed his gratitude and welcomed to the Minister's Expert Staff for Bureaucratic and Regulatary Reform and the rank.
"Thank you for coming, supporting, and witnessing the closing of Bamboo Rafting Festival, with the hope that Bumi Antaludin (HSS's nickname) and the festival gave a good impression," he said.
He was grateful that 2024 HSS Bamboo Rafting Festival which was held from June 18 to 22, 2024 ran smoothly and well, which certainly brought positive things, one of which improving community's economy through MSMEs (UMKM).
He hopes that the festival to continue to be held and improved to be attractive for local and foreigh tourists to visit and know the HSS tourism and culture.
