Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Transportation, Communication and Information Agency (Dishubkominfo) gives one week time limit for freight trucks at Jalan Hariyono MT and Nagasari in Central Banjarmasin to orderly parking.
Head of Dishubkominfo Ichwan Nurkhaliq asked truck drivers and owners of warehouses to no longer park at the roadside, but must go to their-owned parking area.
"We do not take action today, just give a warning. In one week we watched the road intensively," he said while leading the warning here on Wednesday.
Ichwan who just appointed as a new head of the agency confirmed, if there is parking violations in these two area, will be ticketed.
"We do focus on curbing illegal parking on the streets in the Central Banjarmasin first, because of it most congested traffic flow in downtown," said Ichwan.
He made sure, vigorous enforcement of vehicles parked on the roadside will continue to target the other streets in the city.
"I ascertain no selective enforcement of this, even in areas of local government office," he said.
According to him, it need more intensive socialization to put parking in orderly in the protocol area, because a habit needed long time to change it.
"Why do we organize Jalan Nagsari and Hariyono MT first, because it has been long time, and violate the rights of pedestrians," he said.
