The State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) of Kotabaru has distributed the first phase of the 2024 village fund for Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, worth Rp44.5 billion.
"We distributed the fund directly through Village Cash Account (RKD) of 102 villages in di Tanah Bumbu," acting Head of KPPN Kotabaru Muhammad Falih Ariyanto noted in Batulicin, Friday.
The fund, he explained, consisted of village fund for determined use (earmark) amounting Rp27.3 billion and village fund for undetermined use (non-earmark) Rp17.2 billion.

An earmark funds are used to finance economic recovery program in the form of social protection and extreme poverty handling in the form of village cash transfer assistance (BLT), food and animal security programs, and stunting prevention and reduction programs.
Non-earmark funds are for priority programs according to the potential and characteristics of the village or capital participation in village-owned enterprises (BUMDes).
"For the 2024 period, the total village funds allocated by the central government through tranfer to regions for 152 villages in Tanah Bumbu District is Rp125.33 billion will be distributed in two stages," Falih explained.
The first stage of distribution is no later than June 15, 2024 and the second phase will be in April 2024.
"There are still 50 villages in Tanah Bumbu in the first stage have not submitted their distribution to KPPN Kotabaru. We continue to coordinate with the local government and expect to make it quick," said Falih.
According to him, the village fund budgeting policy in 2024 pays more attention to the needs of the village, which the authority of the village itself.
