Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Balangan Resort Police will soon go to Jakarta to conduct DNA tests on the bodies of the alleged grandmother Sitat alias grandmother Iyut (80), a resident of Kupang village, Lampihong Sub-district.


Thursday (6/10) and Friday (7/10) pieces of bodies of mutilated victim who allegedly was Grandma Iyut had been found in Barito Kuala and Tapin. She was missing since Tuesday (20/9) in the village of Kupang.

Balangan Police Chief Adjunct Senior Moh Zamroni, SiK Monday to AntaranewsKalsel revealed, although there was recognition from the suspect about the murder of grandmother Iyut by mutilation, but the police should ensured the correct bodies found is really Grandma Iyut.

"We will go to Jakarta as soon as possible to do a DNA test, and be done with one hand, so that the results are known quickly," he said.

Meanwhile, he continued, the certainty from the victim's family about the evidence found very similar to that held by Grandma Iyut in life he became can not be the primary evidence in the investigation.

He instructed forensic police members to take a DNA test to central forensic laboratory (Labfor) Jakarta to obtain assurance that the bodies belonged to the victims. "To ensure the body found is the victim should be tested for DNA," he said.
