Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or popularly known as Uncle Birin joined residents in the Batulicin Festival (Batfest) fun walk held by PT Jhonlin Group, making the event more lively.

As many as 50,000 people took part in the healthy walk, said Batfest advisor Ghimoyo, who is also CEO of Jhonlin Group.

"The route is approximately 6.8 kilometers and as many as 50 thousand peope participate," he said here, Sunday.

The company prepared prizes of 150 free Umrah packages for participants by drawing them using coupons previously distributed through registration.

He said Batfest is a people's entertainment party held by PT Jhonlin Group featuring various kinds of activities.

A total 800 MSMEs and street vendors (PKL) were also involved to enliven the Batfest.

This year is the fourth of the activity since it was first held in 2012, then in 2019, and continued in 2022 and this year.

According to him, the activity was held to entertain the community in welcoming 2024, as well as empowering MSMEs and street vendors in Tanah Bumbu District and its surroundngs.

"Hopefully this event will bring blessing to all of usa," he said.
