Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Bridge crossing in the village of Hulu Banyu, Loksado Sub-district, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), broken. It is very harmful for citizens to cross.
Head of HSS Police Public Relations AKP Agus Winartono in Kandangan on Tuesday said the condition of the bridge floor made of wood is much decayed, making it very vulnerable to fracture when there are people crossing it.
"On Friday (16/9) two residents who rode motorcycles plunged into the river, since the bridge floor made of Ulin wood suddenly broken, as they walked on the bridge," he said.
Luckily, Agus added, the two victims, Caca (22 years), residents of Hulu Banyu, and Kariyadi (30), resident of Lambuk Tumingki village, survived and only suffered abrasions.
In fact, at the time of the incident, the river water was flooding. Luckily both victims could swim, so they was not swept away, while the motorcycle is still in the search.
Anticipating that there are no more similar victims, Loksado police coordinating with Hulu Banyu village head, Tagana, BPBD and put police line.
