Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 2,000 cycling participants will enliven cruising of Banjarmasin on Sunday (18/9).
A spokesman for the field coordinator of the cruising Banjarmasin Edy Wibowo said this leisure bike will travel a distance of approximately 35 kilometers.
"The trail to explore the streets of this city. All the sub-districts will be passed," he said in Banjarmasin on Friday.
Edy disclosed, the cruising will start at the front of the City Hall in Jalan RE Martadinata Banjarmasin, then drive through Jalan Mangkurat, Sulawesi, Sungai Jingah, Pangambangan Bridge, Gatot Subroto, to enter the Inner Ring Road.
It proceed onto the Jalan Gerilya, Tatah Pamangkih, Tatah Makmur, Handil Bujur, Sungai Jelai, Basirih, RK Ilir and back to Jalan RE Martadinata as finish.
"There are about six kilometers we will go through the driveway of Aluh-Aluh Subdistrict in Banjar District," said this Head Treasury of Banjarmasin Council.
According to Edy, the cycling activities is organized by Youth and Sports Agency. While participants who have registered are from neighboring provinces, namely Central Kalimantan, from Buntok and Kapuas.
"For the club alone there are 102 bike clubs. That is up to 2,000 people, not to mention for individual, because this activity is open to the public," he said.
Edy said, there are lots of prizes to give away at this event, including 40 units of mountain bikes will be distributed.
According to him, the event aims to enliven the city's anniversary and also a means for a leisurely bike sports lovers who begin to thrive in this city.
Why explore this city, said Edy, one of which to see together how the construction of roads and bridges have been taken by the government of the city, as well as yet untouched.
