The Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, provided students (Praja Madya) XXXII Batch of the State Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) about disaster management.

Chief Executive of the agency H. Sulhadi here said things provided were disaster mitigation andauthority of district, sub-district, and village level governments in disaster management.

"With the disaster mitigation seminar, it is hoped that we are able to provide education to the Praja Madya of XXXII Batch regarding what must be done before and after a disaster occurs," said Sulhadi in a press statement release here, Sunday.

He expected IPDN students to have knowledge of disaster, especially the risks of potential disaster in regions where they will serve.

Increasing participation of related parties, he said, is very important in disaster management, especially for IPDN students when the are in office.

"The activity was also attended by BPBD officials and staff at the seminar," he concluded.
