Marabahan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Barito Kuala (Batola), South Kalimantan, will open a football school in 2017 to bring the professional trainers of Barito Putera players.
"Next year Batola will open soccer schools in cooperation with Barito Putera. For the first and second year local government finances it and then we make effort the school can be independent, "said Regent Batola H Hasanuddin Murad when Opening Regent Cup Football Tournament III 2016 in 5 Desember field, Marabahan, Monday (8/8).
The school, he said, is intended by Batola District to educate the youth of Earth Ijejela (nickname of Batola) to love sports, especially football.
"Later in the school there are the classes as well. So the students will be trained in classes according to age, and the school is open to the public. Please youth in sub-districts in Batola to join later," he explained.
Meanwhile, in the tournament, Regent kicked the first. In the first match in the afternoon, Batola Junior and Tunas Muda Mandastana were competed in the event.
Match committee chairman Akhmad Wahyu said the tournament in 2016 was more lively than the previous year. In addition to a a lots of clubs competed , prizes for the winners were larger.
The first winner will receive a total prize of Rp17 million, Rp9 million for second winner, third prize Rp6 million and Rp4 million for fourth winner.
